La isla de Sumatra, en Indonesia, sufrió un devastador alud.

El evento se produjo en la región occidental de Payakumbuh.

Presa destruida

El deslizamiento destruyó y sepultó la presa de irrigación Ujung Gurab, que cubría a toda la región.

Expertos señalan que los temporales son provocados por fenómenos, como el ciclón tropical Senyar, que ha provocado inundaciones devastadoras en las provincias de Sumatra Occidental, Aceh y Sumatra del Norte.

El Gobierno dispuso la inmediata evacuación de las zonas en riesgo.
